" SMELLS LIKE HELL, TASTES LIKE HEAVEN".
During season, this fruit costs less ranging from 15 pesos to 30 pesos. So sad if it costs 80-90 pesos per kilo during off-peak season. You just have to watch out your consumption because this Durian fruit contains a high amount of sugar, Vitamin C, Potassium, and is a good source of Carbohydrates, Proteins, and fats. It is recommended as a good source of raw fats by several raw food advocates while others classify it as a high-glycemic food, recommending to minimize its consumption.
Here in Davao City, you can find cheapest Durians during peak seasons at Bankerohan Public Market. Other areas like the Madrazo Fruit Stand, and Magsaysay Durian Stalls sell quite reasonably also.
